Design Matters' 10th anniversary

Over the years, we at Design Matters have worked tirelessly on our social impact, striving to support, promote, and foster the creation of a more inclusive and diverse industry. In the past few years, we have built a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion agenda which is reflected in the speakers and collaborators we choose, the themes we tackle and the locations we choose for our conferences.

For our 10th anniversary we decided to do something new and different to express our gratitude to our fantastic community of talented designers and creatives. Design Matters 24 will last 3 days instead of 2, with Day 1 being entirely dedicated to crafting, networking, and connecting with people, and Day 2 & 3 following the traditional Design Matters conference format.

Following our DEI efforts, we have launched a 4-week online educational program, the DEI & Design Program, made to motivate designers to look at diversity in a broader perspective, help them make more informed design decisions, and give them the tools, thought leadership and inspiration needed to design for a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive world through their designs.

Last but not least, continuing our mission to inspire and create an impact in the design industry, we are expanding on our DEI agenda, adding a new approach dedicated to sustainability and planet-centric design that will be reflected in the topics we discuss and in the speakers we choose for our future events.
